  Rhea Bissett married David Thomson (no p). He hailed from the Isle of Skye, Scotland originally and later a little village near Edinburgh. He had a noted choir, The Carriden Choir, that won all the music festivals and was patterned after the Glasgow Orpheus Choir, which was under the direction of Sir Hugh Roberton, Dave's uncle. After WW2 he was the first Director of Music in the Education system of NB. Adjudicated Music Festivals and challenged the teachers to a high standard. His Scottish brogue and wit accompanied with his pipe made him a lot of friends. I remember in the late 30's and 1940 he would pack the largest theatre on Saturday night for a sing-song. This was in conjunction with the Kiwanis where he was a life-long member. A book about David Thomson was written called: "The Man Who Made New Brunswick Sing."
